Abstract

Many āyurvedika literatures are contemporary to other non - āyurvedika literatures like Kouṭilya Arthaṥāstra and they seem to be influenced by each other. Kouṭilya Arthaṥāstra also has references regarding Viṣaviϳṅāna, which is one among the aṣṭāngas of Ayurveda. It is necessary to know the Viṣaviϳṅāna practices in ancient time.
