REVIEW LITERATURE ON AHIPHEN

Abstract

Ayurveda has eight branches. Agadtantra is one of the most important branches of Ayurveda which deals with study of all animal, herbal and other poisonous substances, sign, symptoms and management. It deals with the study of poison(visha) and it’s treating measures .When visha is administered , it disturbs all the functions of body , makes them ab-normal, which degrades the health of human being resulting death. This review article in-cludes the overall information about the poisonous plant Ahiphen it’s, Toxicological as-pect,Medico-legal aspect and therapeutic uses mentioned in Ayurveda and modern science.
